The Basic Bookkeeping Package includes monthly tracking of your income and expense transactions for all business checking, savings, and credit card accounts. At month end, I review and reconcile your books and issue pristine, meaningful, and well-organized financial reports delivered via email. These reports will help you understand your business’s past so to make decisions for your business’s future and they are necessary to do any tax planning or to fund your business with mid-year loans.  Year-end organization, Intuit product discounts, and unlimited email support are also included.

Anything above and beyond basic tracking of income and expense items for the month is not included in the price above. However, additional services are available as an add-on to your basic bookkeeping package. These include accrual basis accounting, detailed financials showing class tracking or job profitability, invoicing, bill payment, payroll, and sales tax filing. If you need clean-up work, I am happy to help with that too.

Access to the business bank and credit card accounts is requested in order to efficiently complete your monthly financials. Many banks allow for accountant (read-only) access to bank accounts. This access helps to keep fees affordable and efficiency high. I employ strict standards and procedures for keeping your information safe and private.   I understand and appreciate that financial information is highly sensitive. No personal information will ever be discussed about you to anyone. I am committed to earning your trust and any information you give me will remain confidential.   

I pride myself in being very responsive to my clients’ important inquiries. I strive to respond within 24 hours AT MOST (except weekends and holidays) and use standard M-F 8-5 work hours to address most questions and inquiries.  

Bookkeeping is the recording and organization of financial data, while Accounting is a subjective look at what that data means for your business. Bookkeepers and CPAs have different skills and rates, and you may want to retain both, but for different tasks. Bookkeepers charge less than accountants and go a long way toward establishing and maintaining effective financial accounting systems. CPA’s however, are granted certain responsibilities by statute, such as the ability to certify financial statements. Since they typically charge significantly more, an accountant is usually hired for complex or high-value projects.

We work with our clients' accountants and tax specialists to ensure that the data they need to better serve you is clear, accurate, and always at hand.   Our goal is to set up your account in such a way that’s easy for you to understand but we also make sure that it’s set up to accommodate the needs of your CPA as well. By hiring a bookkeeper, you work with someone who can bridge the gap and understand your needs, as well as the needs of your accountant.

Yes, we offer one time fees for clean up work.

Absolutely. As a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, I have access to the best rates for QuickBooks products and the expertise to help you choose the best package for your business. This is a complimentary service. However,  if you'd like additional support, I offer a Set-up Service so you know you are starting off on the right foot. This includes setting up your company file in QuickBooks and tailoring your Chart of Accounts to fit your unique financial and business needs. It also includes one-on-one training  in how to use the software. The Set-Up fee also includes up to 2 hours of consulting time with me to be used over the first 3 months .
